Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub review

Specially formulated to give you clear, problem free skin, this scrub works with a dual exfoliation and purifying action. Neem, well known for its purifying and antibacterial properties, kills problem causing bacteria. Combined with exfoliating apricot granules, it gently scrubs away blackheads, dead skin cells and embedded impurities, leaving your skin soft, clear, refreshed and problem free.

Product description:

It is a white, almost palest green scrub which has both apricot (brown) and neem (green) granules in a creamy base (sorry, my camera is not picking up the colors). I have normal-oily combination skin, a bit sensitive but the base did not break me out. It has a very mild, subtle scent which does not irritate the nose. In fact it does not smell like anything. So no added fragrance, that’s a plus point. It spreads easily and on scrubbing takes off blackheads. It does not irritate the skin or scratch the skin. It washes off easily with a bit of lather so actually can be used as facewash-cum-scrub. Leaves skin soft to touch without drying out. Overall a good scrub. I don’t know its effect on acne, since I don’t have any, but neem has anti-bacterial properties which prevent acne breakouts. For people with active acne it will be better to use this along with the facewash and pack of this range. I wonder if the ingredient list is complete since it lathers on washing!

Pros

Scrub suitable for all skin types.

Effective on mild blackheads.

Prevents breakouts because of neem and turmeric.

No irritating fragrance.

Hypoallergenic, no harmful chemicals.

Cons

I cant think of any except that this is a bit boring scrub with the packaging and lack of fragrance 🙂
