Hi Friends, Soon after posting my eyeshadow base I thought about adding another post in DIY. It’s really an efficient product, so why to waste money on a synthetic makeup remover? You can do it by yourself without wasting money.
Again, to be honest I got this recipe also from another blog but when I tried this out myself I was so impressed. So I just want to share with you my experience.
If you have children then you can easily find the ingredients in their cupboard. Only 3 ingredients needed and an empty bottle!
The ingredients :
- Baby oil – 2 spoon
- Baby Shampoo – 2 spoon
- Boiled and cooled water – 1/2 cup
I took a cleaned empty livon bottle to store my makeup remover. I added all the ingredients to the empty bottle and shook it well.
This is how it looks.
I am now showing how it works. I took 2-3 drops of the products on a cotton ball.
I have swatched two eyeliners on my arm – Bourjois duochrome eyeliner and Colorbar I-glide pencil in Prunella. The bourjois liner is not smudge proof and has less staying power but the colorbar one is smudge proof, waterproof and long lasting one.
The bourjois liner was erased just in a single swipe with cotton on which I applied 2-3 drops of my makeup remover
The colorbar one needed 1-2 swipes more but was completely erased with the makeup remover.
I am completely satisfied with this makeup remover since it works well even on waterproof makeup which cannot be removed completely using facewash/soap and water. This way I can save my money which needs to be spent for a readymade makeup remover available in cosmetic stores but can get the same result by the ingredients available at my home. It’s completely safe to use even on your eyes since we have used only baby care products which are even safe for the sensitive skin.
Hope you liked this post. Please leave your comments to know what you feel reading my posts. Hope you have planned lot of fun for the weekend.
