To all lazy gals out there… Some quick tips for you all 🙂
Scrub and Cleanser: Save one tablespoon of your oats porridge. Spread on face, scrub for 2 minutes and wash off. Clean, soft skin. Do not use instant oats/flavored oats etc.
Green Tea toner: If you love to have green tea everyday, save one tablespoon of the liquid and splash your face with it after cleansing. Great to give skin some antioxidants. You can also incorporate green tea in a mask if you have more time.
Oily roots: If you wake up and find your roots are oily and have no time for hair wash, take a face cleaning wet wipe and swipe it on the roots and scalp. Instant refreshed scalp! Spritz some water at the ends and apply serum if you want.
Conditioner double duty: If you are in a hurry and want to shave your legs, put conditioner on skin as shaving cream. This is great for softening the hair and gives you smooth shave.
Stock Aloe vera gel: Aloe vera gel can be used for skin and hair as moisturizer, after-shave soother, after-wax soother, sunscreen, makeup primer, hair mask, hair gel, hair conditioner, for burns, cuts and what not! Buy a good quality aloe vera gel and stock up. Saves you from all extra chemicals from multiple products. Also, it is non-greasy and absorbs fast.
Buy a tinted moisturizer: A good TM saves time and money and works as foundation, sunscreen and moisturizer. Or buy a tinted sunscreen or BB cream.
Use blush: Blush is the easiest way to brighten up a bad skin day. Sweep blush with a brush on the apples of cheeks and blend into hair line. Use appropriate colors for day and night.
Style hair in a jiffy: Spray flexible-hold hairspray on a flat, paddle brush and brush it though strands before gathering your hair into two, loose buns. Let the buns set for 10 minutes, then take them down and shake out your hair. You’ll love the bounce and volume.
Flyaway, frizzy hair bothering you? If you have only body/face lotion/cream in your bag, you can use a few drops of that as a good hair serum. Just don’t apply to roots and wash out later.
Groom your brows: After you apply mascara, wipe the wand and groom your brows with it. Do this carefully without smearing on skin.
Arrange your skincare and makeup: Separate out things that you use daily, weekly, once a month etc. Arrange makeup by color or frequency of use or ease of use. This saves a lot of time and helps you to find stuff without going crazy! 😛
